Freaky Monday: ‘SportsNation’ invades ‘Live with Regis and Kelly’

NEW YORK — This year, SportsNation didn’t have the hosts dress in wacky costumes.

Instead, the whole show “dressed up” as Live! With Regis and Kelly for Halloween.

Hosts Colin Cowherd and Michelle Beadle shot the Oct. 31 SportsNation episode on the NYC set of Live! With Regis and Kelly, and in the style of that show’s opening, complete with a new logo and signature coffee mugs.

The show kicked off with a Toddlers and Tiara’s-costumed Kelly Ripa handing off the set to Michelle Beadle, who jokingly asked to trade Colin for Regis.

Ripa said no. Then Cowherd and Beadle ran through the day’s sports headlines at the Live! desk, reveling in the energy and banter from the live studio audience.

The SportsNation team, pictured above, enjoyed the change of scenery and being able to work with an internal ABC program to have some fun on Halloween was a special, if not spooky, treat!
