Sport Science: Challenges of playing basketball on The USS Carl Vinson

As part of ESPN’s programming block America’s Heroes: A Salute to Our Veterans, a men’s college basketball game will be played on the deck of a U.S. military aircraft carrier on Veterans Day.

Michigan State will meet North Carolina in the Quicken Loans Carrier Classic on The USS Carl Vinson (ESPN, 7 p.m. ET).

This is the first game staged in such a setting.
