ESPN's Connor Schell and Laura Gentile are two honorees of SBJ's 40 under 40.

The SportsBusiness Journal recently announced its annual “Forty Under 40” class. Members of this year’s class were honored March 22 at the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel at Dana Point, Calif. during the 11th annual IMG World Congress of Sports. ESPN Films executive producer Connor Schell and espnW vice president Laura Gentile (above) were among those honored.

Let’s review the week on Front Row:

* ESPN The Magazine features National League West rivals Tim Lincecum and Clayton Kershaw on the MLB Preview Issue’s cover. Front Row caught up with Stacey Pressman, contributing writer and producer for ESPN and ESPN The Magazine, to get details on the cover shoot.

* On Tuesday, ESPN.com introduced its latest Major League Baseball super project: “The ESPN 500.” The project counts down the top 500 active MLB players heading into the 2012 season. The first 100 players – Nos. 500-401 – were revealed Tuesday and the countdown will continue every weekday through April 3, when the Top 10 will be announced.

* ESPN aired the Denver Broncos’ official announcement that Peyton Manning was joining the team. The social media world was on high alert. Front Row had a couple of LIVE Storifies as well.

* Front Row interviewed SportsCenter anchor John Buccigross for a look at how he uses Twitter.

In the video below, ESPN The Magazine focuses on Oakland Raiders placekicker Sebastian Janikowski for its Body Shot feature. He shares his secrets for long distance kicking.
