Behind The Scenes

Olympians, WNBA stars Moore, Whalen barnstorm Bristol

Last week, Lindsay Whalen and Maya Moore of the WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx visited ESPN for Bristol “Car Wash” (interviews across multi-platforms), in advance of Team USA’s Olympic exhibition tour.

The duo eventually reunited with the rest of the USA Basketball Women’s National Team in the nation’s capital for training camp, including an exhibition game against Brazil airing tonight at 5:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2.

Two weeks from now in London, Whalen and Moore will be playing in their first Olympic games. In the video above, they discuss with ESPN Front Row the pride they have playing for the USA Basketball Women’s National Team and how ESPN helps them keep tabs on the WNBA season.

The WNBA on ESPN2 will resume with the Minnesota Lynx at the Seattle Storm Tuesday, Aug. 21, at 10 p.m. Whalen and Moore of Minnesota and Sue Bird of Seattle are part of the USA Basketball Women’s National Team that will be competing in the London Summer Olympics. (The WNBA is on hiatus until August 16 so its athletes can compete in the Games.)

The USA Basketball Women’s National Team can also be seen on Wednesday, July 18 at 2 p.m. versus Great Britain on ESPN3. The game will take place in Manchester, England.
