Mike & Mike, The Herd take their respective shows to Manhattan during MLB All-Star Week

As part of ESPN Radio’s commitment to coverage of this week’s MLB 2013 Chevrolet Home Run Derby and All-Star Game, Mike & Mike and The Herd with Colin Cowherd produced live broadcasts before fans at Legends Bar in Manhattan. The two-day stint allowed Mike & Mike and The Herd to not only connect with fans, but brought the shows close to the buzz of MLB All-Star Week in New York City.

In addition to the live broadcasts, Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic called the action over the Citi Field PA system during the Home Run Derby. From the field, they provided commentary and player interviews for fans in-attendance.

The highlight for Greeny during Monday night was meeting musician Pit Bull, which he said was “the best experience of my life.”

In addition to Mike & Mike and The Herd hitting the road, several shows from ESPN NY 98.7 FM — including Mike Lupica, Ryan Ruocco, Michael Kay and Don LaGreca — broadcasted live from the T-Mobile Fan Fest.

Front Row caught up with Greeny and Golic, Colin Cowherd and ESPN Radio program director Scott Shapiro, who reflected on the week in New York City and their Home Run Derby experience.
