The Big Apple’s King tweeter? None other than ESPN’s @AdamSchefter

NewYorkMag.com shared news of Schefter’s lofty ranking on its website today.

“The Donald” has nothing on “The Adam.” Today’s NewYorkMag.com reports that ESPN’s Adam Schefter is “the most influential New Yorker on Twitter,” according to data from social media company, PeerIndex. Schefter is followed on the list by Donald Trump, Jimmy Fallon, Piers Morgan and Carmelo Anthony.

“Something like this surprises and confuses me,” Schefter said. “Jimmy Fallon is an entertainment monster. Donald Trump is a financial baron. How could New York select me ahead of them? Impossible.

“Now Carmelo Anthony,” Schefter said, “different story. The New York Knicks are having a bad year and Carmelo’s got one foot out the door. But a huge thank you to the people that chose this.”

Three other familiar ESPN names also appear on the list: Darren Rovell (9); Nate Silver (39) and Michelle Beadle (44).
