This weekend’s Postseason NFL Countdown (Sunday, 12 p.m. ET on ESPN) features Chris Berman’s interviews with the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots, the top seeds and host teams entering the NFC and AFC Championship Games, respectively. Berman traveled to Seattle this week (photos above) for interviews with the Seahawks’ “Legion of Boom” defensive unit, quarterback Russell Wilson and head coach Pete Carroll. A week ago, he visited the Patriots – Part 2 of his conversation with quarterback Tom Brady airs Sunday – and the Baltimore Ravens.

“Thirty-five years since I started doing this, I’m still intrigued by those who play and coach the game and I enjoy getting to know them,” says ESPN’s longtime NFL host. “I’ve known Tom since he was a first-year starter and Coach [Bill] Belichick a long time. I enjoy going up to New England to talk with them. I’ve also known Peter Carroll a long time and we talk during the season, and I have really gotten to know this bunch of Seahawks. I enjoy how they play and it’s interesting to talk to them as they are on the verge of perhaps going to back-to-back Super Bowls.”

Berman adds: “I’m interested to see the coaches and players and bring my relationships with them to our show, and hopefully help fans enjoy the upcoming playoff games a little more if we do a good job. It’s me being able to help our show in the best way I know how to do it.”
