NFL Draft prospect Jones reflects on tutoring Wingo in the broad jump

In February, UCONN defensive back Byron Jones’ NFL Draft stock soared after his performance at the Scouting Combine.

His broad jump of 12 feet, 3 inches was not only an NFL Scouting Combine record but a world mark. He’s now a projected first-round selection in the latest mock drafts from ESPN experts Mel Kiper and Todd McShay, respectively.

When Jones visited ESPN’s Bristol, Conn. studios recently for a Car Wash, the native of nearby New Britain, Conn. shared his broad jumping expertise with NFL Live host Trey Wingo. Jones told Front Row his time with Wingo in ESPN’s Health and Wellness Center was the favorite part of his Car Wash. On the eve of the NFL Draft’s first round unfolding tomorrow night (8 ET, ESPN), get Jones’ perspective on what it was like to tutor Wingo.
