It’s a known fact that diversity is a catalyst for creativity and innovation. In Technology, the lack of female and diverse representation can limit an organization’s growth. It’s crucial for everyone to come together and support this initiative.

Members of ESPN Technology came together to support the viral #ILookLikeAnEngineer campaign aimed at spreading awareness about diversity in technology. At ESPN, initiatives such as the Technology Diversity & Inclusion Team help address decades-long lack of diversity in the technology industry.

“I think our group photo says a lot. ESPN is the most diverse place I have ever worked. Ever since I joined in 2008, as an intern, diversity has been preached in our rookie camps. It may be a ‘thing’ now, but ESPN has been doing it for years,” said Carlos Diaz, an iOS engineer in the Consumer Software Engineering group.
