#TBT: ESPN and the Pro Football Hall of Fame

This week’s #TBT salutes and congratulates ESPN’s Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees, including analyst Jerome Bettis and NFL Front Office Insider Bill Polian, members of the Class of 2015, as well as Pete Rozelle Radio-Television Award winner Tom Jackson.

ESPN NFL experts who have been honored previously by the Pro Football Hall of Fame include Cris Carter (Class of 2013), Mike Ditka (1988), Steve Young (2005), Chris Berman (2010 Pete Rozelle Radio-TV Award) and John Clayton (2007 Dick McCann Memorial Award).

The duo of Berman-Jackson is synonymous with ESPN’s NFL coverage. They began working together in 1987 timed to the network’s first rights contract with the league. Jackson will receive the Pete Rozelle Award on the fifth anniversary of Berman’s ceremony.

“His service to the game is almost immeasurable. Nobody deserves the Pete Rozelle Award more than Tom,” said Berman, who will emcee the Hall of Fame’s Enshrinement Ceremony for the 16th time this weekend.

In the video below, Cris Carter and other ESPN teammates pay tribute to Jackson.
