Fan Central Mailbag: NBA on ESPN, Rivalry Week, Play 4Kay and more

Welcome to another edition of the Fan Central Mailbag. Before we get to your questions, here are a few quick programming reminders:

  • The NBA on ESPN continues tonight with a doubleheader starting with the Indiana Pacers and Paul George visiting the Oklahoma City Thunder and Russell Westbrook (8 p.m. ET, ESPN). The Boston Celtics and Isaiah Thomas will visit the Utah Jazz and Gordon Hayward in the nightcap (10:30 p.m., ESPN).

  • Rivalry Week continues this weekend with a great slate of top-25 men’s college basketball games on Saturday. Don’t forget to start the day with College GameDay (11 a.m., ESPN). The show will originate from the Texas A&M campus for the first time. An evening edition (6 p.m., ESPN) – featuring Denver Broncos linebacker, Super Bowl 50 MVP and A&M alum Von Miller – leads into the Saturday Primetime matchup between the Aggies and No. 14 Kentucky (6:30 p.m., ESPN). Saturday’s monster schedule of top-25 games on ESPN also includes: No. 20 Duke at No. 18 Louisville (noon), No. 25 Baylor at No. 24 Texas (2 p.m.), No. 3 Oklahoma at No. 10 West Virginia (4 p.m.) and No. 17 Purdue at No. 22 Indiana (8:30 p.m.)
  • Play 4Kay – celebrating its 10th year across ESPN networks – continues to highlight the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, in partnership with The V Foundation and the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), with five games across ESPN2 and ESPNU on Sunday. Also included are two top-25 matchups as part of ESPN2’s Big Monday series.
  • Finally, ESPN’s Linda Cohn will reach a milestone on Sunday (8 a.m., ESPN) anchoring her 5,000th edition of SportsCenter. Cohn has hosted more editions of SportsCenter than anyone in the 36-year history of the program. Join the conversation on Twitter by using #LCo5KSC.
