In the video above, legendary ESPN play-by-play commentator Brent Musburger honors fellow broadcasting legend Vin Scully on his highly celebrated career as the voice of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

In August, it was announced that Musburger will receive the Vin Scully Lifetime Achievement Award in Sports Broadcasting, presented by Fordham University’s WFUV radio station, in a ceremony on Nov. 9. Musburger and Scully called MLB All-Star Games together for CBS Radio in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Scully retired Oct. 2 as the voice of the Dodgers after a celebrated 67-year career in broadcasting.

The Dodgers are currently tied 2-2 in their best-of-seven National League Championship Series with the Chicago Cubs. Dan Shulman and Aaron Boone will call the action for ESPN Radio for Game 5 tonight (7 p.m. ET) in Los Angeles.

Saturday in Baton Rouge, La., Musburger will call the SEC college football showdown between No. 23 Ole Miss at No. 25 LSU (9 p.m. ET, ESPN, ESPN Radio) with analyst Jesse Palmer and sideline reporter Kaylee Hartung.

Jon McLeod produced the video.
ESPN commentator Dave O’Brien also salutes Vin Scully.
