Andy Katz is a senior college basketball writer for ESPN.com covering the NCAA as well as the NBA drafts. In addition to his daily ESPN.com college basketball columns, Katz also appears on ESPN networks in a reporting, analyzing and hosting capacity.
Prior to joining ESPN.com in Nov 1999, Katz served as the national basketball writer for the Fresno Bee from 1995-99. He also has had stints at the Albuquerque Journal (1990-95) and Milwaukee Journal Sentinel (1989-90) and is a former president of the United States Basketball Writers Association. Katz is also recognized as one of the distinguished alumni of the Daily Cardinal, the student newspaper at the University of Wisconsin.
Katz earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and political science from the University of Wisconsin in 1990. He minored in Soviet and East European studies.
