As vice president and editor-in-chief of ESPN Digital Media, I'm responsible for the content and editorial direction of ESPN's portfolio of digital media properties, including text, audio, video and multimedia content. Which might be a nerve-wracking gig if not for the brilliant team of editors, writers, producers and engineers I have the honor of working with each day. I've had a lot of jobs over the last 25 years, including stints as a cartoonist, a director of photography, an art director, a sports page editor and a senior coordinating producer. That career path would have made no sense if the digital space hadn't exploded into the wonderfully free-flowing, multidimensional realm we know today. So for that, I am very, very grateful. I'm also grateful for my bride, She Who Must Be Obeyed, and my Wee Three Kings, ages 6, 3 and 2. All of the good fortune listed above has been offset by my inane passion for Washington-area sports teams, which I consider an eminently fair trade-off.
