ESPN held its annual Multicultural Fair on Thursday on the Bristol campus

There are two pro sports in lockout mode, but ESPN’s clock never stops.

We do take time out to celebrate, as our MultiCultural Fair this week demonstrated and as our airing of SportsNation live from ESPN’s campus green next Wednesday will illustrate.

Come to Front Row next week and you’ll tour a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier — the same one that will be the stage for a North Carolina-Michigan State basketball game this fall — with an ESPN employee; you’ll see SportsNation, which is celebrating its second birthday, in ways you haven’t before; and you’ll learn about ESPN’s connection to NASA’s Space Shuttle.

This past week, Front Row gave you:

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson in his new temporary gig as ESPN The Mag’s editor;

tennis legend Chris Evert on her transition to ESPN analyst at Wimbledon;

and a look at espnW’s viewing party for the Women’s World Cup from Times Square.

This holiday weekend you’ll see more snapshots from our Women’s World Cup coverage in Germany, you’ll meet an NFL editor who moonlights as a Civil War historian, and you’ll learn why Joey Chestnut calls a 67 hot dog meal “practice.”
