ESPN Women hosts “LEADING at All Levels”

On Tuesday, ESPN’s largest employee resource group – ESPN Women – hosted “LEADING at All Levels,” a companywide leadership event in Bristol and via live stream for its members and employees nationwide. The all-day event focused on individual career development, networking and knowledge sharing opportunities between executives and colleagues from across the company. Hosted by Cari Champion of ESPN2’s First Take, attendees of “LEADING at All Levels” gained valuable insights and lessons learned from guest speaker Juliet Funt, recent WICT Woman of the Year, ESPN Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Christine Driessen alongside some of The Walt Disney Company’s most influential female executives, and ABC News correspondent and author Claire Shipman. The day concluded in Bristol with a networking reception sponsored by espnW.

ESPN Women members filled the room to capacity for the seminar. In addition to viewers who streamed the event across various locations – including offices in Austin, Charlotte, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Orlando, San Francisco and Seattle – the event engaged with hundreds of employees live.

ABC News correspondent Claire Shipman sat down for a Q&A with host Cari Champion to share her knowledge on the science and art of women and self-assurance through her experiences researching and co-authoring the book “The Confidence Code.”

Business speaker and productivity expert Juliet Funt kicked off the day with a lively and engaging presentation on maximizing your creative white space in today’s age of overload.

“LEADING at All Levels” concluded the day with a networking reception in Bristol sponsored by espnW. Attendees were able to gather among colleagues – including ESPN2’s Numbers Never Lie co-host and ESPN.com columnist Jemele Hill and espnW VP Laura Gentile – to recap and discuss the day’s sessions.
