It was “NASCAR Madness” at Boston’s Hard Rock Café on Wednesday, Sept. 10, as legendary ESPN college basketball commentator Dick Vitale brought his unique brand of energy and charisma to the “Chase Across North America” NASCAR Media Tour, featuring Sprint Cup Series driver Kasey Kahne.
Using the newly-constructed 16-driver Chase Grid, Vitale named Kahne his “prime-time driver” to win this year’s championship. ESPN bracketology expert Joe Lunardi also participated in the media event. New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, N.H., which will hold the second race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, the Sept. 21 Sylvania 300, hosted the media event.
