Boone’s vocal clarity aided by pre-game exercises

When ESPN analyst Aaron Boone traded in his batting gloves and spikes for a headset and a microphone, he developed a new pre-game baseball routine. Whether calling a game or appearing on Baseball Tonight, the versatile commentator warms up his voice with a series of unique exercises learned from famed vocal coach Arthur Joseph.

Boone is currently working the World Series for ESPN Radio alongside the booming voice of veteran play-by-play man Dan Shulman. Together, they took ESPN Front Row behind-the-scenes to learn more about Boone’s unique routine.

ESPN Radio has complete coverage of Game 6 of the World Series tonight beginning at 7 p.m. ET. All World Series games are available on ESPN Radio, ESPNRadio.com, via the ESPN Radio app, iTunes Radio, Slacker and TuneIn.
