Five prominent NFL players will be featured in tonight’s SportsCenter Special: NFL Face to Face with Hannah Storm (8 p.m. ET, ESPN2). Storm interviews Arian Foster (Houston Texans); Alshon Jeffery (Chicago Bears); Luke Kuechly (Carolina Panthers); Jordy Nelson (Green Bay Packers) and Patrick Peterson (Arizona Cardinals).

Her thoughts on each of the interviews accompany this photo slide show.

Arian Foster is a fascinating person to hang out with. His thoughts run deep and his interests are wide. Rare is the player who spends an offseason on a spiritual retreat, but Arian is always pushing the boundaries of who he is. We tap into his lifelong passion for music and he plays some things that he composed. I was struck by his openness and also his wonderful relationship with his older brother Abdul, with whom he founded a gym in Houston.

What struck me about Jordy Nelson was how perfect he is for Green Bay. Jordy grew up on a farm and wants to return there when his NFL career is over. He loves the all town feel of the Packers and the work ethic that is a big part of the fabric of the community and organization. He also has a great sense of humor which matches that of his QB Aaron Rodgers, and now finds himself as a veteran leader among the receiving corps.

Patrick Peterson exudes personality and confidence. His passion for life is infectious, whether it be his muscle car collection, his foundation, his battles with receivers, or relationship with his med-student wife, who grades him on every performance.

Luke Kuechly is relentless on the field, but off the field he is sort of the Clark Kent to [Panthers QB] Cam Newton’s Superman. His unassuming, guy-next-door nature really comes out when we go fishing – unsuccessfully for the most part! Down to earth and passionate about being a linebacker, Kuechly already has established himself as a leader on the defensive side of the ball for the Panthers in just his third season.

Alshon Jeffery might be from a two-stoplight town in South Carolina, but he loved putting on a show in Chicago. The jump ball specialist channels his idol Michael Jordan when it comes to entertaining. And he is thrilled to be starring in the same town MJ did. He was like a giddy kid when we attended a Bulls game together and shot hoops at the United Center.
