ESPN descended upon Chapel Hill, N.C. on Saturday to televise wall-to-wall coverage of one of men’s college basketball’s most-heated rivalries: Duke versus North Carolina.
College GameDay began the day with its two-hour morning telecast live from the Dean Dome, home of the North Carolina Tar Heels. In the evening, a condensed College GameDay led viewers into tip off.
Then, ESPN’s game telecast of Duke’s 84-77 victory transitioned into SportsCenter with anchors Steve Levy and Scott Van Pelt. The show was live on court providing instant reaction and analysis. Duke center Jahlil Okafor also joined the anchors on set.
