Special Olympics Unified Relay across America

The Special Olympics World Games begins on Saturday with the lighting of the cauldron in Los Angeles. The torch, called the “Flame of Hope,” made its way from Greece and across the United States through three different routes as part of the Special Olympics Unified Relay Across America.

More than 300 ESPN employees helped carry the torch as it crisscrossed throughout country including those in Austin, Bristol, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Fort Worth, Los Angeles, Miami, Milwaukee, New York, Seattle and Washington D.C.
