30 for 30 Short “First Pitch” screening

ESPN President John Skipper attending the screening of “First Pitch,” which will premiere on Friday, Sept. 11, on SportsCenter immediately after the national moment of silence, as well as on Grantland.com and ESPN.com. It will also air that evening during the 6 p.m. SportsCenter on ESPN2.

The documentary by award-winning director Angus Wall features interviews with President Bush, Derek Jeter, Condoleezza Rice and Joe Torre, among others. It will look at how important that famous pitch was to the nation, and how baseball helped be a part of the recovery after 9/11.
