SportsCenter on the Road visits Saint John’s University

History was made Saturday as SportsCenter on the Road originated from Saint John’s University in Collegeville, Minn., the program’s first telecast ever from an NCAA Division III school. The ESPN crew was welcomed enthusiastically, with the SportsCenter on the Road bus cheered when it arrived on campus Thursday and thousands of students showing up before daylight Saturday morning to be part of the two-hour show that began at 6 a.m. local time. The show previewed that day’s “Tommies versus Johnnies” football game between Saint John’s and cross-state rival St. Thomas.
