Today, PR News celebrated the Top Women in PR honorees at an awards luncheon in New York City.

Among them was Vice President, ESPN Communications, Katina Arnold, who was recognized for making bold advances in managing crises, developing brand messages, protecting and building brand reputations and creating content for digital platforms.

Among the many colleagues seated at the ESPN table to support Katina were President, Global Sales & Marketing, Ed Erhardt, Senior Vice President, Affiliate Partnership Development & Operations, Disney & ESPN Media Networks, Lori LeBas and members of her Communications team.

Upon accepting her award, Katina referenced a quote from President Ronald Reagan who said that you can “disagree without being disagreeable” – a principle she has used very effectively on behalf of the company.

Congratulations to Katina on this honor. It was great to see someone who spends so much time shining a light on others getting some well-deserved recognition of her own.

Arnold (second from right) was cited for – among other things – leading ESPN Communications’ publicity campaign for the ESPN.com redesign and 20th anniversary in 2015.

The PR News Awards honor “the women in PR who have made bold advances in every aspect of the discipline – for their own organizations or for clients…”
