Friday in Beverly Hills, Calif., ESPN was recognized with the Outstanding Commitment and Outreach to the Latino Community award for the company’s contribution to diversity and inclusion. ESPN’s commentator Antonietta “Toni” Collins and Executive Vice President of Digital and Print Media, John Kosner, accepted the award on behalf of the company.

This video showcases some of ESPN’s initiatives driven by efforts to better serve the Hispanic audience including One Nacion, #REDES, SportsCenter and others.

Here’s another example of ESPN’s initiative to serve the Spanish-speaking audience, World Series MVP Salvador Perez, Robinson Cano and Carlos Gonzales sit down with Pedro Gomez and discuss (in Spanglish) about what it is like to be a Latino player in the major leagues, the cultural barriers they faced and “Latin flair.”
