Peyton Manning’s historic football career ends today when he announces his retirement.

Beyond the network’s coverage of his performances both at the University of Tennessee and with the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos in the NFL, ESPN has been part of Manning’s profile through the years in a number of unique ways, including the ESPN Films’ SEC Storied documentary “The Book Of Manning” and his “This Is SportsCenter” spots featuring his family. ESPN will televise Peyton Manning’s news conference at 1 p.m. ET today. Additionally, Steve Levy will anchor the 6 p.m. edition of SportsCenter from Denver with NFL analyst Jeff Saturday and NFL front office insider Bill Polian. Reporters Bob Holtzman and Jeff Legwold (Denver) and Jeannine Edwards (Indianapolis) will also contribute to ESPN’s on-site coverage. Throughout the morning, SportsCenter interviews are scheduled with NFL analysts Charles Woodson, Tom Jackson and Steve Young and reporters T.J. Quinn and Mike Reiss will add to ESPN’s coverage from Bristol, Conn.
