Monday Night Football in Mexico City
NFL Live with (L-R) Darren Woodson, Herm Edwards and Trey Wingo on-set near Estadio Azteca.

The NFL played its first regular-season game in Mexico City in 11 years Monday, Nov. 21 on ESPN and ESPN Deportes. The Houston Texans versus Oakland Raiders game from Estadio Azteca was the first Monday Night Football in the 47-year history of the series to be played outside the United States.
MNF producer Jay Rothman, who produced the last NFL regular-season game in Mexico City in 2005, described the atmosphere as “the NFL meets the World Cup.” See the full game recap here.
