25 Karat (Ravech) Magic On The Air

ESPN staple Karl Ravech started journey here in May 1993

Karl Ravech has been the face of ESPN’s Major League Baseball coverage for a generation. This weekend, the Needham, Mass., native celebrates his silver anniversary with ESPN. To help commemorate his 25 years, we unearthed several photos from the ESPN Images archives.

As the ESPN Facebook photo gallery illustrates, Karl has expanded his reach and his role over nearly three decades. His
ESPN roles include calling play-by-play for MLB, Little League World Series, College World Series, the Home Run Derby and men’s college basketball. However, he’ll always be synonymous with one of ESPN’s most legendary platforms, Baseball Tonight.

Karl will host Baseball Tonight: Sunday Night Countdown presented by Chevrolet on May 6, at 7 p.m. ET, preceding ESPN’s exclusive telecast of the Chicago Cubs at St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday Night Baseball presented by Taco Bell, at 8 p.m.
