ESPN is the exclusive rights holder and host broadcaster of the US Open. Live daily marathon coverage from all courts – first ball to last ball – begins Monday, Aug. 28, at noon ET on ESPN and at 11 a.m. on ESPN+, ESPN3 and ESPN Deportes from the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, N.Y. The event culminates with the Women’s Singles Championship on Saturday, Sept. 9, and the Men’s Singles Championship on Sunday, Sept. 10, both at 4 p.m. on ESPN, ESPN+ and ESPN Deportes.
50th Anniversary of Equal Pay
Fifty years ago, the US Open Championship became the first major sporting event to offer equal prize money for female and male competitors. The historic anniversary will be celebrated throughout the tournament.
SportsCenter at the US Open
Chris McKendry will host a special 90-minute SportsCenter at the US Open on Sunday, Aug. 27, at 4 p.m. with interviews by the ESPN tennis team.
Anthem Spot Blue
“Blue” features New York native, 15-time Grammy Award-winning artist Alicia Keys’ “Streets of New York.” The spot represents new energy and the evolution of tennis from well-known legends to new star talent and connects summertime in New York City with the US Open’s iconic courts and branding.
Production Operations Behind the Scenes
Event production runs 18 days. As host broadcaster, ESPN will produce 957 multi-camera matches, complete with replays, graphics and audio, and produce court coverage of all matches in 1080p
