ESPN bringing NBA fans closer to the game

ESPN continues to push its NBA coverage forward, consistently exploring new ways to deepen access and elevate the viewing experience. One of the signature efforts behind that commitment is the network’s annual “All‑Access” initiative, designed to bring fans closer to teams, players and decision‑makers throughout the season.

ESPN’s “Cavaliers‑Pistons All‑Access” on February 27 delivered the most immersive edition of the initiative to date, offering a look at two Eastern Conference contenders across ESPN platforms throughout the day.

New this year were first‑time live elements, including in‑game coach mics, bench interviews with players, live referee audio with replay‑center access, and select live huddles — giving fans unprecedented, real‑time insight.

“This initiative has been a work in progress over the last several seasons, and we’re excited about the new ground we broke this year with live coach mics, live referee mics, replay‑center access and in‑game player headset interviews.

“Bringing our audience closer to the action is always a priority as we document the league on a daily basis, and we appreciate the NBA and both teams for their partnership in making this possible.“
