Tag teams for life: Inside ESPN’s WWE wedding experience

ESPN is bringing the spectacle of WrestleMania beyond the ring — and into a once-in-a-lifetime fan experience in Las Vegas.

Ahead of WrestleMania 42 streaming on the ESPN App, ESPN will host its first-ever WWE-themed wedding experience, where five WWE superfans will officially become “tag teams for life.” Before the bells ring, here are three things to know about the WWEdding experience.

A First for ESPN and WWE: Weddings Officiated by The Miz

For the first time, ESPN is hosting a WWE-inspired wedding experience with ceremonies officiated by WWE Superstar The Miz. Five couples will exchange vows on Thursday, April 16, from 3–5 p.m. PT in Las Vegas, just days before WrestleMania 42 takes over the city.

Led by The Miz’s trademark charisma and showmanship, each ceremony will capture the drama, humor and energy fans associate with WWE — reimagined through the lens of a wedding celebration. It’s a uniquely WWE moment that turns lifelong fandom into a lifelong commitment.

An Immersive Fan Experience — Inside and Outside the Ceremony

The WWEdding experience is designed to be fully immersive, offering couples and fans the chance to step into the WrestleMania atmosphere. Participating couples will receive a commemorative “WWEdding” certificate and enjoy photo opportunities featuring official WWE title belts and WWE Superstar cutouts.

While participation is limited to the first five couples who registered in advance, fans are encouraged to attend, celebrate the couples, and take part in the WWE-themed activations surrounding the event — bringing the pageantry of WrestleMania to life off the main stage.

From “I Do” to WWE World: Kicking Off WrestleMania Weekend

The WWEdding experience serves as a marquee kickoff to a historic WrestleMania weekend, marking the first time WrestleMania streams as part of the ESPN family.

Following the ceremonies, the newly married couples will be whisked away in a limo to WWE World, connecting the moment directly to one of WrestleMania week’s signature fan destinations.

WrestleMania 42 will stream on the ESPN App on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19, beginning at 6 p.m. ET, with a subscription to the ESPN Unlimited plan. In addition to full-event streaming on the ESPN App, the final hour of WrestleMania’s pre-show coverage on both days will also air across ESPN networks, giving fans multiple ways to tune in as anticipation builds ahead of the main event.

By blending fandom, storytelling and unforgettable moments — from the wedding ceremony to WWE World and beyond — ESPN is extending the WrestleMania experience across Las Vegas and across platforms with a celebration that reflects the passion, spectacle and larger-than-life spirit that defines WWE.
