Martin Bater

I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina and moved to Fort Lauderdale with my family when I was 14 years old in 2002. Soccer is my one true love, I live and die with Argentina and my favorite club team. Boca Juniors. I also fell in love with American sports when I got here and became a Marlins, Heat and Dolphins fan for life. Keep in mind that the Dolphins were perennial Super Bowl contenders before I got to the U.S, and ever since then they have only made it to one playoff game in a decade and lost it too. Franchise-jinxing aside, I started my career with the Miami Herald and went on to write for the St. Petersburg Times and Inside Hockey before becoming a producer at Deportes CNN and coming to ESPN. I value criticism, so by all means feel free to speak your mind about my articles, because I firmly believe that you can never be done improving.
