Nicole Coffey

Here I am, in Bristol, Connecticut. How the heck did I get so lucky. I am fortunate to have grown up in the rural -awesome- town of Burlington, Connecticut, located 8 miles from the ESPN campus. I played four sports since the fourth grade and found the love of broadcasting in high school when I was part of the local television staff for our PGA Tour stop, the Greater Hartford Open. I got my first big interview for the station, and I was hooked. College brought me to Rock Hill, South Carolina and Winthrop University, where I was part of the women's golf team. I am proud of that All-Big-South-Conference trophy from my senior year! My days now are spent in the ESPN newsroom as an Assignment Editor. We react to news, helping to organize our coverage across the globe. People say it is like a sports bar, just without the alcohol! And when there is breaking news, whoa, we are all on high alert hitting the phones, hiring crews, confirming stories..the blood gets going for sure. I am a lover of live music and the outdoors. My parents are retiring to Longs, S.C., where I will be a frequent visitor.
