Ryan Hockensmith

I grew up in Duncannon, Pa. and attended Penn State, where I received my journalism degree in 2001. Along the way, I met Joe Paterno, fell in love with my wife and had all of my toes amputated (true—but long—story; Google my name and bacterial meningitis if you enjoy toe-loss stories). Another PSU grad, JB Morris from ESPN The Magazine, gave me a chance as an intern in 2001, and I have been hanging around ever since. I currently work as a senior editor at The Magazine, where I cover the NFL. I live near Bristol with my wife, Lori, and two daughters, Elizabeth and Katherine.
