I'm the Director of Audience Research at ESPN. As a kid I always knew I’d work in television someday, I just had no idea it would be in sports. My initial plan was to join the ranks of my favorite TV genre of all time -- daytime dramas -- but thankfully for me and my future prospects, ESPN came along first and the rest is history. I joined the company as a Research Analyst in 2000, and I’ve been growing up with the Research & Analytics department ever since. Over a decade later, I oversee the audience research efforts for ESPN’s five English-language domestic TV networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNEWS, ESPN Classic, and ESPNU), as well as ESPN on ABC. The industry, this company, and my job look nothing like they did when I first started out, and every day brings a new challenge. I’m a native Bostonian living in enemy territory, but that doesn’t stop me from staying loyal to my roots. Depending on the season, my colors alternate among Red Sox red, Patriots blue, and Syracuse orange.
