LeGrand sets sights on future

After enduring a paralyzing collision in an Oct. 16 game against Army last season, Rutgers football player Eric LeGrand needed a machine to help him breathe.

Five weeks later, he defied doctors’ prognoses and left the ventilator behind.

Last month, LeGrand, 20, revealed via his Twitter account (@BigE52_RU) that he was able to stand up in therapy sessions — more miraculous milestones since he fractured two vertebrae in his spine.

Thursday, LeGrand visited ESPN and Front Row host Steve Braband to update us on his recovery, the support he’s received, and his future plans.

Watch the video above for details.
