Week in review

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?

Gone skydiving? Picked a fight with someone you shouldn’t have?

Front Row bets Michelle Beadle tops all of those feats.

In the video above, check out how Colin Cowherd and the SportsNation crew said goodbye to his co-host and our colleague. Beadle’s headed for a new broadcasting gig, and the SN crew gave her a proper send-off.

Let’s review some of the week’s news from our world:

* Thursday night’s Scripps National Spelling Bee Final on ESPN, won by 14 year-old Snigdha Nandipati from San Diego, was seen by an average audience of 1.06 million viewers. The 2012 Spelling Bee Final, won after Nandipati spelled the winning word “guetapens,” ousted the 2011 Final and the previous cable record for viewership with 952,000 viewers.

* Once again Mike Greenberg sat in with Kelly Ripa as co-host for LIVE! with Kelly. Front Row special correspondent — and Greeny’s wife — Stacy Greenberg provided a post-show assessment of her very own “dancing star.”

* ESPN The Magazine’s debut “Women in Sports” issue hit newsstands on Friday with NASCAR’s Danica Patrick gracing the cover and a seven-page cover story, “Defining Danica,” inside.

* For the first time since 1993, the NBA Draft Lottery returned to the Big Apple for Wednesday’s live telecast on ESPN, prior to Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
