Experience the 2014 NCTA Cable Show via ESPN Images

Last Thursday, ESPN wrapped up its presence at the National Cable Telecommunications Association’s (NCTA) annual Cable Show 2014. In addition to ESPN president and Disney Media Networks co-chairman John Skipper serving as co-chair of the event, ESPN made several announcements at the show, including:

  • ESPN will be the official broadcaster for the 2015 Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles
  • Google Fiber was announced as the fourth distributor to carry the SEC Network for its August 14th debut
  • SEC Network released its football schedule for the first four weeks of the season featuring all 14 SEC football teams
  • Longhorn Network will launch to DISH customers on May 28th
  • New WatchESPN app released in the Amazon Appstore
  • Eric Ratchman has been promoted to senior vice president, global distribution and strategy by Disney and ESPN Media Networks
