Bolder and wiser, Mike & Mike ready for second Home Run Derby gig

MINNEAPOLIS – Tonight, ESPN Radio’s Mike & Mike (Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic) will describe each long ball as the in-house commentators at Minneapolis’ Target Field for the Gillette Home Run Derby (ESPN/ESPN Radio, 8 p.m. ET). Earlier today, they chatted with Front Row about the gig, what they learned from their debut in the same role last year and their strategies for calling the action tonight. The Mike & Mike show will broadcast live from Kieran’s here tomorrow, July 15, from 6-10 a.m.

ESPN Radio’s Sunday Night Baseball team of Jon Sciambi and analyst Chris Singleton will call the Derby with reporters Peter Pascarelli and Marc Kestecher. In addition, ESPN Radio will have the exclusive broadcast of the 2014 MLB All-Star Game (Tuesday, July 15, 8 p.m. ET, pre-game beginning at 7 ET). It’s the 17th consecutive year ESPN Radio has aired the All-Star Game. Sciambi and Singleton will call the game with on-site studio host Kestecher and reporters Pascarelli and Tim Kurkjian.
