ESPN executives, delegates participate in Global Sports Mentoring Program conference

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Sunday, delegates from the espnW and U.S. Department of State Global Sports Mentoring Program presented the Action Plans they developed during their three weeks at their mentorship sites around the country.

ESPN delegates Malak Hasan and Xinyi Hua presented their plans with ESPN mentors Diane Morse (Chief Counsel) and Katina Arnold (VP, Corporate Communications).

Hasan plans to develop a program called The Women in Sports Network Palestine (WSNP) to improve girls’ and women’s lives through sports in the Palestinian community while Hua plans to use sports as the tool to help young Chinese girls find their individual beauty in order to boost their confidence and self-esteem. This is ESPN’s sixth year of the program.

ESPN SVP Multimedia Sales, Patricia Betron was also a mentor.
