#TBT: ESPN covers Super Bowl XXXIV In Atlanta

Beginning Monday, Atlanta will be the epicenter of the sports world as ESPN and other media outlets converge upon the Georgia capital for Super Bowl LIII.

It has been 19 years since Super Bowl XXXIV, when Atlanta last hosted the big game.

The video above features ESPN’s first SportsCenter segment from that week in 2000 when Chris Berman, Tom Jackson and Mike Golic kicked off the network’s coverage as Atlanta experienced some unexpected wintery weather.

ESPN will have more than 40 hours of TV and radio coverage originating from Centennial Park in downtown Atlanta, including editions of SportsCenter, NFL Live, a four-hour Postseason NFL Countdown preview show on Super Bowl Sunday, and more.

Shelby L. Lacy produced the video.
