On Tuesday, Sept. 24, ESPN supported a Disney Toy Delivery at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center as a part of Disney’s broader initiative, Disney Team of Heroes – which aims to deliver comfort and inspiration to families with children facing serious illness.
As part of the Disney Team of Heroes, ESPN is committed to help reimagine the patient and family experience in children’s hospitals around the world, by pairing the power of sports and magic to help ease the current realities children face while receiving treatment.
To date, Disney’s work has grown to support more than 450 children’s hospitals globally.
In the video above, Executive VP Programming Acquisitions & Scheduling, Burke Magnus and SportsCenter anchor Kevin Negandhi address the Disney Team of Heroes initiative. SportsCenter anchor Sage Steele and ESPN Radio Golic and Wingo co-host Mike Golic also were among the ESPN employees who participated in the visit.
