EDITOR’S NOTE: The World Series continues with Game 2 tonight at 8ET on ESPN Radio with Dan Shulman, Jessica Mendoza and Chris Singleton describing the action. The Los Angeles Dodgers lead the Tampa Bay Rays 1-0 in the best of seven-game series.

The 2020 World Series is being played in a “bubble” at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas – but nearly 1,700 miles away at ESPN’s Bristol, Conn. campus, a dedicated team of employees are delivering the national audio coverage of the Fall Classic to the masses on ESPN Radio.

One of those devoted employees is Deirdre Cienki, manager, digital and event programming.

Cienki is responsible for managing content strategy planning for several important ESPN Radio initiatives. One focus area for Cienki is ESPN Audio’s Major League Baseball property, which includes Sunday Night Baseball and the entire MLB Postseason. With radio being a coveted medium for baseball fans, the World Series on ESPN Radio is a key priority for Cienki and her team.

“Deirdre is one of the sharpest and most forward-thinking individuals that I’ve met at ESPN,” ESPN MLB analyst Chris Singleton said. “She’s always pleasant, but at the same time gets things done.”
