Ahead of the 2024 US Open main draw, daily marathon coverage begins on Monday, Aug. 26, at noon ET from the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, N.Y., ESPN analysts Brad Gilbert, Pam Shriver, Mary Joe Fernández and James Blake offer advice to the next generation of American stars: No. 3 Coco Gauff, No. 13 Ben Shelton, No. 14 Tommy Paul and No. 20 Frances Tiafoe.
Former player-turned-coach Gilbert’s best Grand Slam performances include quarterfinal appearances at the US Open in 1987 and Wimbledon in 1990. Here’s the advice he would give to Ben Shelton.
