In the ESPN commentary booth, Derek Rae and Stewart Robson will take their seats to call the Bundesliga’s first FC Bayern München-Borussia Dortmund match of the season – Germany’s most storied and intense rivalry.
When the match kicks off at 12:30 p.m. ET on ESPN+ in the U.S., Rae’s distinctive Scottish lilt will guide viewers through the action with his signature blend of precision and cultural insight. Robson will bring sharp tactical analysis – breaking down the nuances of both teams’ high-octane pressing styles, known in Germany as Gegenpressing.
As a team, their voices already sound familiar to fans. In the virtual world of EA FC 26, Rae and Robson are the iconic English-language commentators narrating every dramatic through ball and last-ditch tackle.
The chemistry between them, on display Saturday, is no accident. It is the result of numerous live soccer broadcasts and lengthy recording sessions, crafting thousands of lines to make EA FC 26 more immersive and authentic.
In the video above, Rae and Robson pull back the curtain on the commentary for #EAFC26, which was released globally in September.
