Inside the ‘WWE Elimination Chamber’

The 2026 WWE Elimination Chamber marks the final Premium Live Event before “The Showcase of the Immortals,” WrestleMania 42. That means stakes are high for the WWE Superstars competing in Elimination Chamber and Championship matches this Saturday. Here are five things you should know about the WWE Elimination Chamber and ESPN’s coverage of the event.

ESPN’s Meghan Burgoon leads cross‑company WWE coverage
ESPN has tapped Meghan Burgoon, Senior Director, Content Integration, to oversee all content tied to WWE Premium Live Events. She expanded her ESPN role prior to the 2026 Royal Rumble and has led this week’s comprehensive Elimination Chamber coverage, including coordinating dozens of WWE Superstar appearances across ESPN platforms. She reports to Mike Foss, Senior Vice President, Sports Studio and Entertainment.

ESPN’s Elimination Chamber Preview Show debuts Thursday
ESPN is producing a special Elimination Chamber Preview Show, airing Thursday, February 26 at 2 p.m. ET on ESPN2 and Disney+. Talent includes WWE Superstar Big E, Peter Rosenberg, and Joe Fortenbaugh, with special guests World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk and Je’Von Evans. This marks ESPN’s first WWE Premium Live Event preview show since Wrestlepalooza last September.

Disney+ is getting in on the WWE Premium Live Events action
Disney+ is showcasing WWE Premium Live Events more prominently than ever. Through March 2, all PLEs that stream on the ESPN App — such as the 2026 Royal Rumble, Survivor Series: WarGames, Crown Jewel, and Wrestlepalooza, ESPN’s inaugural WWE PLE — are available free and unlocked on Disney+.

A one‑of‑a‑kind night inside the Elimination Chamber
The Elimination Chamber event features both men’s and women’s Elimination Chamber matches, each with six participants competing inside an enclosed steel structure. Competitors aim to score a pinfall or submission until only one remains. The winners will head to WrestleMania 42 — the men’s winner challenging for the Undisputed WWE Championship, and the women’s winner earning a shot at the WWE Women’s Championship.

WWE Returns to Chicago’s United Center
This year’s event marks the first WWE Premium Live Event to take place at the United Center in Chicago since 1994. Chicago is among WWE’s most passionate markets, famous for its electric crowd energy. Current World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk and WWE Superstar AJ Lee, both Chicago natives, consistently receive a hero’s welcome in their hometown.
