Moving Ahead In The Action With . . . Holly Rowe
As more live sports return to ESPN platforms, meet some of the people working to deliver these events to fans
Saturday, July 25, marked the WNBA’s return to ESPN since COVID-19 delayed the season the start of the season back in May.
With the return of the WNBA came the return of ESPN’s all-star reporter Holly Rowe to the sidelines.
With commentators calling the games from ESPN’s Bristol, Conn., studios, Rowe provides ESPN’s eyes and ears on the ground in the #Wubble – the WNBA’s Florida campus at IMG Academy in Bradenton. Fans have long relied on Rowe not only for coach and player interviews but for the in-depth storytelling she brings to each game she covers.
Rowe first joined the ABC/ESPN family 25 years ago. In that time, Rowe has covered nearly every sport, including but not limited to the WNBA, men’s and women’s college basketball, college football, gymnastics, softball, and volleyball (indoor and beach). In each sport, her strong approach is the same: Provide fans with an inside look at the coaches, players, and teams.
ESPN will air a record number of WNBA games this season with more than 35 games across ABC, ESPN, and ESPN2. Watch a doubleheader tonight featuring the Seattle Storm versus the Atlanta Dream (6 ET) and the Chicago Sky versus Phoenix Mercury (10). Both games will be available on ESPN2 and the ESPN App.

Report from @nyliberty on @sabrina_i20
There is a group of physicians working on this (6 physicians). It’s a grade 3 ankle sprain and at this point they believe that it’s nonsurgical.Over next few days she will work to decrease swelling and increased range of motion. @WNBA
