John Fontana has had an interesting end of summer.
On Aug. 21, Front Row profiled the legendary Connecticut high school baseball coach, whose daughter Chrissy Fontana is a longtime ESPN employee and curator of her family’s baseball legacy.
Also last month, his alma mater American International College announced that it was inducting Fontana into its sports hall of fame.
On Sunday in Fenway Park, the Boston Red Sox saluted Fontana’s contributions to baseball in New England and beyond on Connecticut Day.
