Bump and Run: Ryan Leaf

In the 1998 NFL Draft, the Indianapolis Colts took Tennessee quarterback Peyton Manning with the first overall pick.

With the second overall pick, the San Diego Chargers took Washington State quarterback Ryan Leaf.

Both were “can’t-miss” prospects destined to lead their respective teams to Super Bowl glory.

Is it fair to build the expectations so high for players who’ve never suited up for a professional game?

We asked Leaf — who visited Bristol to promote a new book via the Car Wash — that question and more in our latest Bump and Run.
