Inside the 18th hole announce booth for ESPN’s Open Championship coverage

HOYLAKE, ENGLAND – ESPN is airing four-day coverage of golf’s oldest major, The Open Championship, from Royal Liverpool. Telecasts continue Friday and Saturday and end with the final round on Sunday.

ESPN’s anchor Mike Tirico and lead analyst Paul Azinger are working from an announce booth installed on a temporary but sturdy scaffolding structure above the grandstands at the 18th hole. Behind the scenes are a researcher, stage manager, camera operators and other crew members who help make things work smoothly. Some images of the booth:
